Applications from suitably qualified candidates are invited for the following posts:
1. Assistant Lecturer/Lecturer in
(i)Curriculum Studies & Evaluation
(ii)English with Specialisation in Linguistics
(iii)French with Specialisation in Linguistics
(iv)Movement & Physical Education
(v)Psychology with Specialisation in Educational Psychology/Pre-school Education
(vi)Social Sciences with Specialisation in History
(vii)Sociology with Specialisation in Education
(viii)Visual Arts with Specialisation in Arts History and/or Sculpture
Qualifications:
(a)Two 'A' levels or an acceptable alternative qualification.
(b)A relevant degree from a recognized institution or an acceptable alternative qualification.
In addition a minimum of two years relevant post qualification experience or a post graduate qualification normally obtained after one year of full-time study.
Priority of consideration will be given to candidates with higher, and appropriate, pedagogical qualifications.
Salary Scale:Rs 23,200 x 800 – 28,000 x 1,000 – 30,000 x 1,250 – 45,000
2. Analyst/Programmer (One Year Contract)
Qualifications:
A.A Cambridge Higher School Certificate or passes in at least two subjects obtained on one certificate at the General Certificate of Education "Advanced Level".
B.A (Hons) degree in Computer Science major part in software engineering from a recognized institution.
or
Equivalent qualifications to A and B above acceptable to the Board.
C.Candidates should reckon at least two years' post-qualification experience in database administration, including multi-user RDBMS , Oracle Financial/E-Business Suite systems, PHP, HTML, CSS, Visual Basic, MySQL and DOT NET technologies.
D.Candidates should also: -
(i)have working knowledge on-
a)email systems and website/intranet development.
b)multi-user operating systems especially Windows 2003 and IBM AIX
(ii)have a good track record for problem solving and a sound diagnostic ability; be able to implement database security policies including system backups, monitor trends in capacity requirements and troubleshoot database problems;and
(iii)have experience in user training.
Note:Qualification at A above should have been obtained prior to qualification at B above. However, candidates who, as at 30 June 2003, did not possess the qualification at A above will also be considered provided they hold:-
a)A Cambridge School Certificate or passes at the General Certificate of Education "Ordinary Level" either
(i) in five subjects including English Language with atleast Grade C in any two subjects or
(ii) in six subjects including English Language with at least Grade C in any one subject or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the Board; and
b)A Master Degree or a Post Graduate Diploma in the field mentioned at B above or an equivalentqualification acceptable to the Board.
Qualification at (a) under 'Note' should have been obtained prior to qualification at B above and at (b) under 'Note'
Candidates should produce written evidence of experience claimed.
Salary Scale: Rs 19,600 x 600 – 23,200 x 800 – 28,000 x 1000 – 30,000 x 1250 – 40,000
3. Graphic Designer
Qualifications:
(a)Cambridge School Certificate with credit in five subjects or any other acceptable alternative qualification.
(b)Two subjects at 'A' Level, with at least one 'A' Level in Art/Design or related field or any other acceptable alternative qualification.
(c)A Diploma in Visual Arts or Graphic Designing or Communication Graphic or an equivalent qualification
Proficiency in operating Hardware & Graphics Software; Macintosh and PC Platform would be an advantage.
Salary Scale:Rs 14,200 x 400 – 15,000 x 500 – 16,000 x 600 – 23,200 x 800 – 28,000 x 1,000 – 29,000
