Biology Education Activities at the MIE

 

We are pleased to inform you that the MIE in collaboration with the SBT will organize a workshop, a symposium and an exhibition in July 2008 as follows: 

 

1.    Workshop entitled “Biology in and out of Classroom” on 22 July 2008

You can participate in the workshop only if you have registered for the Symposium.

 

2.    Symposium entitled “Biology Education: Challenges and Opportunities” on 23-24 July                                                                                                                                    2008

        You can participate in the Symposium in the following ways:

·         by attending the different sessions only

·         By giving an oral presentation or a poster presentation (in this case fill in the registration form and send it, along with your abstract and registration fees, to Dr R. Bholah, the MIE at latest on the 14th June 2008 at noon).

 

  1. Exhibition entitled “Life in the Lab” from 22 to 24 July 2008

 

You can participate in the Exhibition by following the instructions given in the Guidelines online.  Please submit your project (exhibit) at the Biology Lab, the MIE, Attn to: Dr R. Bholah, on or before the 27th June 2008. Please note:

  • If you wish to participate in the Exhibition and attend this event only, then there is no need to fill in the registration form for the symposium.
  • If you wish to participate in the Exhibition and attend the symposium and/or workshop, you should fill the registration form.

 

The Award ceremony for above Exhibition will be held on Thursday, 24th July 2008 at the MIE.

 

We encourage teachers to accompany their pupils and visit the Exhibition between 9.00 and 14.00 hours on these days.
