The role of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment is to advise the Minister for Education and Science on curriculum and assessment for early childhood education and for primary and post-primary schools in the Republic of Ireland.
The NCCA plays a key role in shaping a world-class education system that meets the needs of all learners, supports their participation in communities and in society, and contributes to the development of the knowledge society in Ireland.
